Psychotherapy – Practical information
Initial session and process
The initial session lasts 50 minutes and is subject to a fee. It provides an opportunity to get to know each other, clarify your concerns, and explore whether psychotherapy feels like the right fit for you. If you decide to continue, we will arrange further appointments, and together we will define which topics and goals will be our focus.
The length of a psychotherapy process depends on your questions, aims, and personal situation. It may range from shorter-term support over several months to longer-term, in-depth work.
Fees
For individual psychotherapy, the current fee is
-
95 € per session (50 minutes).
Fees for completed sessions are invoiced monthly, with payment requested within 14 days by bank transfer. The initial session is settled at the end of the appointment; by prior arrangement, and payment in cash is also possible.
If your financial situation requires it, I can offer a limited number of reduced-fee places.
Setting and frequency
I work with adults in individual psychotherapy. The frequency of sessions is arranged individually. For an ongoing process, weekly or biweekly appointments have proven helpful; in certain phases, a higher or lower frequency may also be appropriate.
Cancellations
Scheduled appointments are binding. If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. For later cancellations or missed appointments, the full fee will be charged, since the appointment usually cannot usually be offered to someone else at short notice.
Confidentiality
Everything you bring into the therapeutic space is treated confidentially. As a psychotherapist in training under supervision, I am bound by the legal duty of confidentiality under the Austrian Psychotherapy Act.
If it seems helpful to exchange information with other professionals involved in your care, such as your GP or psychiatrist, this will only take place after prior discussion with you and with your written consent. Only in situations involving an acute risk of harm to yourself or others am I legally required to take protective steps and, if necessary, share information.
